Guide to finding resources at the Potter Library
October 3 & 6, 2008
1. I have my topic-now what (where do I start)?
Lets look at the Potter Library's home page
From here we can access:
- The online catalog to look for books, journal titles (not article titles), government documents (print and electronic), reserve materials, music, and movies owned by the Library.
- Databases to look for citations, abstracts, full-text articles, reviews, etc.
- Journal Finder to see if the Library has access to a particular magazine or journal title.
- Inter-Library Loan (ILL) in case we need to request a book or copy of an article from another library.
2. I don't have my topic-now what? (YIKES! HELP! AAAGH!)
- Don't Panic!
- Exploring the Library's resources is always a good place to start!
Now for a closer look!
